-The Ohio State University currently offers an undergraduate minor
in Asian American Studies administered by the Division of
Comparative Studies


Topics/Courses:

-The minor is interdepartmental and includes the following requirements:
One of the following (5 credits):
History 346: Intro to Asian American History or
Sociology 382: Sociology of Asian American Life
-Three courses to be chosen as follows (15 credits; courses not listed here but offered as topics/courses in Asian American Studies may be substituted with permission of the advisor):
-At least one of the following:
Anthropology 294:The Southeast Asian Experience in America Psychology 695: Psychology of Asian Americans Sociology 382: Sociology of Asian American Life
-At least one of the following:
Comparative Studies 314: Women in East Asian and Asian American Literature
History 346: Intro to Asian American History
Comparative Studies/Korean 645: Studies in Korean American Literature
Comparative Studies/Chinese 678: Studies in Chinese American Literature
-Five additional credits in one of the following areas (a number of courses fulfill this requirement):
Asian culture/history/language; Minority Studies; independent research or fieldwork
